About Us
Members of the Parry Sound Drug Strategy consists of community stakeholders who service, or are impacted by, substance use challenges in Parry Sound District.
Our goals are to:

To facilitate partnerships with community stakeholders, service providers and those who carry lived/living experience with substance use, to guide the work we do.

To strengthen community outreach.

To enhance harm reduction services related to substance use.

To improve data collection and monitor substance use trends in our community.

To reduce stigma by implementing effective education and prevention initiatives related to substance use and harm reduction services.

To implement evidence-based initiatives related to substance use and harm reduction services.

To recognize two eyed seeing and use local indigenous elders, teachings, healing circles to enhance our knowledge of natural laws and natural world.
Our Mandate
To collaborate on initiatives that respond to local substance use issues, incorporating Indigenous knowledge and practices to focus on the pillars of Prevention, Harm Reduction, Community Safety, and Treatment.
